Booking and Payments
Ask_My Psychotherapy Services (AMPS) offers both online and face-to-face sessions. For now, our online sessions are mainly delivered via Zoom because of its online video conferencing software. And with the much-required confidentiality as set in our professional ethical guidelines. It is important to us that our clients feel safe and secure.
For the online sessions, just grab yourself a phone, laptop, tablet, or PC with a good internet connection. Don’t forget your water bottle or cup of tea and we are good to go.
Why Online sessions:
- Cost-effective; you don’t have to pay for a taxi, bus/train fares, or buy fuel.
- Comfort & Convenience; therapy can be threatening. But you're doing it in a familiar environment.
- Confidentiality; since you do not have to leave home. No one will ever know.
- Saves time; as you don’t have to delay in traffic.
- No referrals or Mental Health plans are required from GPs.
Confidentiality
At AMPS, confidentiality is key. Your information is yours that’s why we take you through an extensive informed consent so that you are aware of the limits of our confidentiality as practitioners. And, this may also depend on why a client is seeking therapy. If referred by a medical practitioner, they may need a model detailing and mapping the history of the condition (causes and what maintains it). Hence a need for some form of case formulation. But we do this collaboratively with the client and they have to confirm that the language used describes them and the information they are comfortable sharing freely.
Only the final report will reflect the overall mental assessments.
